Job Purpose
The organization is seeking a skilled and organized accountant to manage financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for logistics and transportation operations
- Perform daily accounting tasks and maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) entries
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
- Handle Social Security contributions and Employee Income Tax in compliance with local regulations
- Oversee cash flow management, cost allocation, and project budgeting
- Maintain records of fixed assets, depreciation, and related expenses
- Manage banking transactions and perform accurate bank reconciliations
- Coordinate with operations and warehouse teams to monitor financial performance
- Support month-end and year-end closings and assist during audits
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal controls, and corporate accounting standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- More than 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or a multinational company
- Proficiency in ERP systems, especially Oracle and Odoo; experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local compliance laws
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English and Arabic, with strong communication and coordination abilities
- Familiarity with freight, shipping, or warehouse accounting practices is an advantage
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-oriented corporate environment
