Job Objective

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the IT department, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with organizational goals
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of IT systems
- Manage virtualization platforms and cloud services
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Manage radio telecom systems and ensure compliance with communication standards
- Supervise helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests
- Utilize ITSM tools for ticketing, reporting, and trend analysis
- Implement security measures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with organizational and international standards
- Administer the Microsoft 365 suite and drive adoption of collaboration tools
- Automate workflows and reporting using Power Automate and Power BI
- Lead IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, office relocations, and system implementations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Install and configure new computer systems, servers, workstations, applications, and other equipment to meet company needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support IT functions and projects
- Keep up with industry trends and technological advancements to recommend improvements and updates to the organization’s systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field; a Diploma in Business Management is a plus
- Minimum 8–10 years in IT operations, infrastructure management, and service delivery; Experience with Oil and Gas is preferred
- Proven experience in leading IT teams and managing complex technical projects
- Microsoft Server Administration, Cisco, Cybersecurity fundamentals (preferred)
- Proficient in English and Arabic, with advanced Kurdish language
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in both written and spoken forms
- Relevant professional certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V
- Project management skills, especially in IT infrastructure, are required for projects
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Public speaking and networking abilities
- Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office tools
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and other security systems
- Experience with security-focused certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc
