mselect is looking to hire a Sales Officer for a logistics client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have 2–4 years of experience in sales, preferably within logistics, ocean freight, air freight, or freight forwarding companies. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The individual serves as a key contributor in the sales and marketing process for the client. They are responsible for engaging with customers across various industries through multiple client-interfacing platforms. They are also accountable for understanding and utilizing the internet, phone applications, professional networks, and other marketing tools to sell and educate customers on logistics solutions. The individual models and acts in accordance with the organization’s guiding principles and core values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify commercial market opportunities, prospect and follow up with customers to develop and monitor the customer’s portfolio
  • Plan and conduct the commercial visit according to the commercial action plan and produce visit reports as required by management
  • Sell the client products and services, and advise customers on specific transport modalities to sell the solution best fitted to their needs
  • Upload visits feedback and market research information on the client’s CRM system (C-view) and ensure updated commercial data in the information system — Cargo-wise
  • Receive customers’ requests, prioritise them, and process their requests in coordination with sales support and operations teams
  • Constantly promote new client services and value-added services to customers
  • Help maintain market ID
  • Create and follow up on customer complaints
  • Achieve sales targets as agreed with the sales manager
  • Conduct field visits to target customer segments and prepare visit reports to be submitted to the direct manager in a timely manner
  • Expanding the customer database by maintaining existing customers and attracting new customers through regular communication reach via phone calls, emails or field visits
  • Record the necessary data on the appropriate system in preparation for the operations team to complete processing of the shipment and issue an invoice
  • Follow up & Apply Department monthly, quarterly & yearly products, initiatives & tasks set by my department manager/management
  • Attend all required Local & Global trainings & sessions

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales, preferably within logistics, ocean freight, air freight, or freight forwarding companies
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a proactive approach
