mselect is looking to hire a Bookkeeper for an international renewables energy client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Bookkeeper roles. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Completing Tax documentation
- Preparing the End of Year Financial Report for Auditing
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts
- Recording any inconsistencies
- Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Preparing employee wages
- Preparing Daily Cash on Hand Reports, including handwritten accounts as required for the end of year accounts
- Preparing Monthly Reports
- Preparing and maintain separate Project Accounts
- Advise on all Company financial matters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent background
- Minimum of 3 years in Bookkeeper roles
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, particularly in Excel
- A strong command of English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, particularly Excel
- Strong understanding of both spoken and written English
- Proactive attitude with a 'can do' mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Good organizational skills
- Basic understanding of financial regulations
