mselect is looking to hire a Project Manager for an international fintech client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have at least 10 years of payment industry experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
JOB SUMMARY
Under the guidance & direction of the Regional Manager, this position is responsible for the end-to-end planning, implementation, and execution of the company merchant sales and acquiring strategy for the select markets. This covers all business priorities; including Client engagement, developing market-wide initiatives to expand the acceptance landscape, Represent the Company to the clients (Existing, new, and prospective) by providing a point of contact to them, with permanent high-quality support on the organization, products, systems, and policies, as well as contributing to the strategies and plans to develop and implements value propositions for clients and partners.

JOB SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategize, plan, and implement core product platform features, product platform customizations, digitization, and merchant offer, including building business cases on investment and returns
- Explore, manage, and coordinate vendors and merchant partners to deliver solutions and value-added service on time and on budget
- Build strong working relationships with acquires, merchants, and other key market players and ensure a high level of satisfaction with project implementation
- Track market development and results of programs, campaigns, and solutions implemented and make timely tactical changes if and when required
- Provide consulting to maximize Path-for-Growth marketing strategies, plans, and budgets for identified Financial Institution clients and merchants in support of financial targets
- Align Merchant's Sales and Acquiring objectives and resources against client business needs local business and marketing objectives
- Work with partner functions to influence and gain the support and commitment of targeted clients
- Identify client-led initiatives that provide opportunities for the Company to contribute financially, negotiating the financial terms and conditions of such participation
- Assist with the identification and analysis of payment trends, and market opportunities, and evaluate their value and viability to make strategic recommendations on future business direction
- Continually monitor existing and potential competitor activities to identify new opportunities or highlight potential causes for business concerns. Feedback and update all staff as appropriate and recommend strategies and solutions
- Establish strong partnerships with internal teams to assist in the delivery of initiatives within the geography and add value in pursuit of profitable business opportunities
- Provide direction, thought leadership, best practice materials, and turnkey tools to clients and the sales team
- Work with acquirers and other market players in the ongoing evaluation, management, synthesis, and development of payment acceptance strategies
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong sales and relationship management capabilities with a clear understanding of the market landscape
- Deep understanding of banking operations, acquiring business and payment schemes, including merchant acquiring & services, business systems and processes
- Expert knowledge of how the brand, product platforms, and rules interact for existing and new payment solutions
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills are needed to influence direction and change the attitudes and decisions of senior-level international bankers
- Proven relationship management and negotiation skills
- Good analytical skills and commercial acumen
