mselect is looking to hire a Retail Manager for a retail client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing and expanding organized retail chains. Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The Retail Manager oversees the operations of multiple retail outlets within the mobile distribution network. This position entails ensuring the achievement of sales targets, the efficient execution of store operations, optimising the customer experience, and the effective implementation of company policies. The Retail Manager collaborates closely with the sales, marketing, and logistics teams to facilitate business growth and enhance the brand's market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Operations Management:
  • Supervise the daily operations of retail establishments to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
  • Ensure that retail locations uphold high standards in merchandising, cleanliness, and customer service
  • Implement and oversee strategies for loss prevention to minimize potential risks
Sales and Performance Management:
  • Formulate and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability objectives
  • Evaluate store sales performance and furnish actionable insights to enhance outcomes
  • Examine market trends and consumer behaviour to improve sales effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to execute promotional activities and campaigns
Customer Experience & Service Quality:
  • Ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience across all retail locations 
  • Provide training and development for store personnel focused on best practices in customer service 
  • Address escalated customer complaints effectively and ensure prompt resolution 
  • Collect and analyse customer feedback to facilitate continuous improvement
Team Leadership and Staff Development:
  • Recruit, train, and develop store managers and retail staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and set clear objectives for the team
  • Motivate and engage employees to achieve high performance and productivity
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to enhance skills and competencies
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure the availability of high-demand mobile products
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams for stock replenishment
  • Manage stock movement and minimize losses due to overstocking or stockouts
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular sales and operational reports to senior management
  • Utilize data analytics to track performance and identify improvement areas
  • Assess and optimise store layouts and product placements for increased sales

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Speak a minimum of two languages
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing and expanding organised retail chain
  • Have leadership skills to lead the team
  • Be able to train the team
  • Understand the mobile and electronics industry
  • Good understanding of social media and marketing
