mselect is looking to hire a Document Controller for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in project document control during the execution of engineering consultancy, front-end engineering design, and engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning projects within the oil & gas industry. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend the project kick-off and document control meeting along with the project team and contractor
- Organize, prioritize, carry out quality checks and distribute project deliverables, including vendor documentation from the contractor, through the project document management system (PDMS)
- Ensure the quality and service levels provided to the project management team are consistently high and dynamic and meet the project services department’s established KPI
- Operate independently within the framework of an integrated project services function
- Responsible for handling the document flow for multiple projects at different stages
- Liaise with the project management team, various departments and the senior document controller on day-to-day activities and support to complete projects within the approved budget and schedule
- Support the project management team throughout the project lifecycle with necessary document control-related procedures, standards, and established tools/templates to streamline the project documentation for all projects
- Prepare a document distribution matrix (DDM) from the contractor’s approved deliverable register (MDR) and follow the approved DDM throughout the project
- Provide document status reports and dashboard analysis to the project team, including contributions from reviewers and contractors, to assess and improve project document lifecycle performance
- Provide an engineering deliverable register (EDR) discrepancy report to planning engineers to confirm the contractor's progress claims against the actual document status in ‘PDMS’
- Carry out a review of the project dossier indices and the final project dossier to ensure completeness of final project documentation
- Participate in quality audits and other Internal and external audits
- Responsible for training and developing local personnel
- Carry out archiving of project documents as required
Requirements
- Minimum 3-year Diploma in any Discipline
- Good standard of written and verbal English
- Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in project document control during the execution of engineering consultancy, front-end engineering design and engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning projects within the oil and gas industry
- Adequate exposure to computerized systems on project documentation with EDMS/PDMS Application skills
