Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Compensation:
- Prepare, process, and manage monthly payroll in compliance with local tax and labour regulations
- Ensure accuracy in salary calculations, deductions, benefits, and other contributions
- Maintain payroll records and generate reports for finance and audit purposes
- Review, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with Iraqi labour laws
- Ensure company practices comply with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Serve as the internal expert on labour law matters and guide management and staff
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and organizational charts
- Oversee onboarding and orientation programs for new hires
- Coordinate and manage the performance appraisal process
- Support managers in evaluating employee performance
- Recommend training and development plans based on performance outcomes
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and documentation
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions
- Support organizational development initiatives and HR projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 12–15 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years
- Extensive knowledge of Iraqi labour laws and HR best practices
- Fluent in Arabic (near-native level) with strong legal and administrative vocabulary
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience working in multinational or large-scale organizations
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
