mselect is looking to hire an IT Field Support Analyst for an international oil and gas operator in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Candidates must have 5-10 years’ experience in a technical support role demonstrating the ability to work issues to resolution in a distributed environment. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, and Arabic is a plus.
Job Objective
The IT Field Support Analyst will be primarily responsible for providing operational and technical support with a focus on resolving Tier I & II issues, installing and configuring workstations, printers, and peripheral equipment, assisting the IT Supervisor with server administration and capacity planning for network systems and telecom, serving as the main point of contact for end-user technical assistance in drilling and production operations, and working on a rotational basis with camp accommodations provided during the shift.

- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems for all computer equipment, including radios and security cameras
- Identify new technologies that could help the field operations
- Other duties by the client may be requested from time to time
Requirements
- University degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in technical support roles within distributed environments
- Hands-on expertise in hardware analysis, deployment, and support
- Proficiency in software testing, installation, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Active Directory and mixed Windows environments
- Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage technologies
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Windows) are preferred
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
