mselect is looking to hire a Sales Manager for an FMCG client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in poultry sales, with a strong understanding of the Iraqi market. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
A leader in the poultry products industry (fresh, frozen, and cut products) is seeking a professional Sales Manager to lead and develop the sales team and achieve growth and expansion objectives in the Iraqi market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales plans and strategies in alignment with the company's objectives
  • Manage and motivate the sales team (supervisors, sales representatives, promoters), ensuring improved performance
  • Build strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and markets
  • Study and analyse the market and competitors, and implement effective pricing policies
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges
  • Coordinate with other departments, especially production, to ensure order fulfilment efficiency
  • Monitor and follow up on receivables, ensuring timely collections from clients
  • Represent the company at relevant trade shows and business events

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 10 years of experience in poultry sales with knowledge of the Iraqi market
  • Experience in sales planning based on daily production capacity and coordinating between sales, production, and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and balance supply and demand
  • Proficiency in preparing regular analytical reports, including sales, growth rates, performance comparisons, market movement, competitors, pricing, returns, and collections)
  • Experience in managing daily orders and distributing them by coverage areas, handling field customer issues when necessary
  • Advanced skills in communication, negotiation, and closing sales, with the ability to resolve customer conflicts professionally
  • Ability to design a monthly incentive system for the sales team to ensure productivity and revenue goals are met
  • Good knowledge of manual and electronic sales and collection systems, with the ability to use Odoo software and advanced Excel reports
  • Strong leadership skills, committed, organized, and able to work long hours under pressure while managing the team’s daily operations and sales performance
  • Ability to meet ambitious sales targets under pressure
