mselect is looking to hire a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer – Offshore for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant postgraduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the oil & gas industry. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical design and engineering services in Civil/Structural Engineering (Offshore) for all assigned engineering projects Achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with client procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE
- Conduct Civil/Structural Engineering (Offshore) Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from the initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning
- Ensure the required client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, and environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed in work scopes and whilst conducting Civil/Structural Engineering (Offshore) engineering activities Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices
- Support the engineering department to review, update and apply client standards and client’s amendments to external standards
- Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidisciplinary engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet the project requirements
- Co-ordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary work scopes for projects and other engineering activities Ensure the work scope is comprehensive and clear
- Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issues
- Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and effective project delivery
- Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance
- Review and evaluate the contract changes/variations to approved guidelines and practices
- Support the development of personal technical competency and skills, and those of co-workers Participate in structured training for associate engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
- 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry
- Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to Civil/Structural Engineering (Offshore) Engineering
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment
- Fluency in English language with good verbal and writing communication skills and proficiency in conducting presentations
