Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA/QC plan for the project, ensuring adherence to both client specifications and international standards
- Manage all quality control activities during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases, particularly concerning critical equipment such as compressors, pressure vessels, coolers, pump packages, and control systems
- Supervise and coordinate all inspections, testing procedures, and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of all quality-related activities, including inspection records, test results, and non-conformance reports
- Provide regular quality reports to senior management
- Ensure that all contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors meet the required quality standards
- Conduct audits and inspections of their work to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Identify and address any non-conformances, ensuring prompt resolution through corrective and preventive actions
- Work closely with engineering and construction teams to address any quality-related issues and ensure the smooth progression of the project
- Ensure that all quality activities comply with Iraqi regulations, as well as relevant international standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Provide guidance and training to site personnel on QA/QC procedures and best practices, ensuring a culture of quality is maintained across the project
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in QA/QC management, with significant experience in Iraq, particularly within the oil and gas sector
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and codes, such as ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards
- Experience with quality management in projects involving compressors, pressure vessels, pump packages, and other complex oil and gas equipment
- Proven track record of managing quality control in large-scale construction and installation projects
