mselect is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
Role summary
Support the Project Controls Lead in ensuring accurate recording and forecasting of M&E Projects & Mods through all project phases.
Key Accountabilities
- Actuals/Forecast · Ensure monthly vendor VOWD is verified and agreed and forecast data is in line with agreed schedule and approved budget
- Reporting · Assist in the maintenance and population of the M&E Projects & Mods working file
- Generation of the monthly cost report and perform monthly cost reviews with Project Managers to ensure up-to-date forecasts aligned to plans
- Maintain projects Risk register and Change Register AWP&B
- Assist the Project Controls Lead in the Annual AWP&B process, ensuring completeness and integrity of the data sets. Engagement
- Engage with contractors to verify progress and earned value in line with agreed procedures
Qualification
- Financial/Project Controls/Construction experience for a multinational company would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and information skills
- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to learn new processes
- Good understanding of Project phases
- Good Computer skills – including Excel, PowerBI, Ecosys, Maximo
- Good English language speaking and writing skills
